Micromanipulation Technology

Precision down to
A Single Cell.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) forces fertilization when biology refuses. By manually injecting a single, highly selected sperm directly into the core of the egg, Dr. Adnan Jabbar overcomes the most extreme cases of male infertility. Whether facing low sperm count or azoospermia, our state-of-the-art ICSI clinic in Lahore, Pakistan offers world-class micromanipulation to help you build your family.

ICSI Micropipette and Egg Fertilization in Lahore

Guaranteed Penetration

ICSI bypasses the sperm's need to swim to or bore through the egg's tough outer shell, yielding a 70-80% successful fertilization rate.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is a specialised form of IVF in which a single sperm is injected directly into a mature egg using a microscopic glass needle. It was developed to overcome severe male factor infertility and achieves fertilisation rates of 70–85% per injected egg regardless of sperm quality.

When Nature Needs Assistance

In standard IVF, 50,000 sperm are placed in a dish with an egg, relying on one "winning" sperm to natural fertilize it. When sperm lack the biology to perform this task, ICSI takes over.

Severe Oligospermia

Extremely low sperm counts. When there simply aren't enough sperm to create the enzymatic reaction needed to pierce the egg shell naturally in a standard IVF dish.

Asthenozoospermia / Teratozoospermia

Sperm that cannot swim straight (poor motility) or have misshapen heads or tails (poor morphology), rendering them physically incapable of binding to and penetrating the egg.

Azoospermia (Zero Sperm)

No sperm found in the natural ejaculate. In these complex cases, Dr. Adnan Jabbar routinely performs surgical sperm extraction (TESE/PESA) from the testicles and utilizes ICSI to ensure successful fertilization.

Expert ICSI Treatment in Lahore, Pakistan

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection is a highly delicate, operator-dependent procedure. The success of ICSI lies entirely in the hands of the clinical embryologist. Dr. Adnan Jabbar operates one of the most technologically advanced and successful micromanipulation laboratories in Lahore, catering to couples from across Pakistan struggling with severe male factor infertility. By combining advanced sperm selection techniques (IMSI, PICSI) with precision injection protocols, we consistently bypass nature's toughest barriers.

High Fertilization Rates

Our meticulous handling of vital gametes ensures fertilization rates exceeding 75%, far above standard benchmarks.

Advanced Selection (IMSI/PICSI)

We utilize ultra-high magnification and physiological binding assays to select the single best sperm prior to injection.

Affordable ICSI Cost

World-class embryology does not mean hidden costs. We provide a fully transparent, ethical breakdown of your ICSI package in Pakistan.

The Micro-Injection Protocol

ICSI is performed simultaneously with maternal egg retrieval. It requires a highly skilled embryologist operating a multi-axis mechanical micromanipulator under hundreds of times magnification.

  • 1

    Sperm Selection & Immobilization

The embryologist visually scans thousands of sperm, selecting a single candidate with the most perfect morphology. The sperm's tail is lightly struck to immobilize it.

  • 2

    Preparation of the Oocyte

A gentle holding pipette applies light suction to the egg to keep it perfectly still under the microscope.

  • 3

    The Injection

A microscopic, hollow glass needle (the injection pipette) containing the single sperm is smoothly pushed through the zona pellucida (outer shell) and into the inner cytoplasm of the egg, where the sperm is released.

Beyond ICSI: IMSI & PICSI

When standard ICSI fails due to exceedingly poor sperm quality, we look to ultra-advanced selection methods prior to injection:

IMSI (Intracytoplasmic Morphologically-selected Sperm Injection)

Magnifying the sperm to virtually 6000x normal size (instead of standard 400x) to spot microscopic vacuoles or defects in the sperm head before injection.

PICSI (Physiological ICSI)

Binding sperm to a Hyaluronic Acid gel. Only genetically mature, DNA-competent sperm bind to the gel, allowing the embryologist to select chemically superior sperm.

Frequently Asked Questions About ICSI in Pakistan

Addressing common concerns regarding male infertility and micromanipulation.

Is ICSI better than regular IVF?

ICSI is not inherently "better" but rather a specialized tool. Regular IVF is excellent for tubal issues when the sperm is healthy. ICSI is specifically required when there is severe male factor infertility (low count, poor motility, high DNA fragmentation) or a history of failed fertilization in previous IVF cycles.

What is the success rate of ICSI in Lahore?

At our advanced laboratory in Lahore, ICSI successfully fertilizes approximately 70-85% of injected mature eggs. Once embryos are formed, the pregnancy success rates per transfer are identical to standard IVF, generally driven by the female partner's age and egg quality.

Does ICSI cause birth defects?

Vast medical literature covering decades of ICSI use shows that children born from ICSI are as healthy as those conceived naturally or through standard IVF. Any slight increase in genetic conditions is usually linked to the underlying male infertility factor itself, not the ICSI procedure. We mitigate these risks with chromosomal screening (PGT-A) if necessary.
